The Medina County Association for Legal Professionals
Welcome to the website of the Medina County Association for Legal Professionals (MCALP). We are legal secretaries, law office managers, paralegals and court employees who live and work in Medina, Summit, Wayne and Cuyahoga counties, Ohio. Our purpose is to carry on a program for the further education of those engaged in legal work.

About The Medina County Association for Legal Professionals
The organization was formed as the Medina County Legal Secretaries Association on August 13, 1977. Its 30th anniversary celebration will be Wednesday, October 24, 2007, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Medina County Courthouse, 93 Public Square, Medina, Ohio.
MCALP is a chartered affiliate of the national nonprofit NALS, The Association for Legal Professionals. The national organization offers accredited certification as Advanced Legal Secretary (ALS), Professional Legal Secretary (PLS) and Professional Paralegal (PP).
The first President was Marlene L. Oiler, PP, PLS. She was a founding member of the chapter along with three others: Nancy Suvak, PP, PLS; Edna Carver, PLS; and Mary Ann Ramey, PLS.
The group sponsors dinner meetings on the second Wednesday of each month, which include guest speakers on all areas of legal practice. Prospective members are welcome to attend as guests.
