How to become a Notary for the State of Ohio in Medina County: Obtain a packet to apply for a Notary Commission at the Medina County Courthouse, Clerk of Courts office or at any of the Auto Title offices in Medina County. Included in the envelope will be the information needed in order to take an exam. It contains an application, exam schedule and a buff-colored Study Guide to use in preparing for the exam. A fee will be charged when you take the exam.

How to RENEW your Notary Public Commission in Medina County If you need to renew your notary commission, obtain the renewal packet from the Medina County Clerk of Courts in the courthouse at 93 Public Square, in Medina, or at any of these Auto Title offices:
Follow the instructions that come with the YELLOW form. Once you have completed the YELLOW form, you will need either a business check or a money order in the amount of $30 payable to MCALP NOTARY. Personal checks will be returned and may delay your renewal. This $30 fee includes the $15 fee to the Notary Commission Clerk Mail the completed yellow form and $30 business check or money order to:
Once the form has been processed, approved, and signed by a judge, it will be sent to the Ohio Secretary of state. Your certificate will be mailed directly to your residence. Processing takes approximately four weeks. When you receive your Commission Certificate, take it to the Medina County Court of Common Pleas to be recorded at the office of the Clerk of Courts.
